Tips to help you boost the value of online orders

We’re committed to helping all of our restaurant partners get the most from having an online ordering and delivery solution. There are many ways that you can optimise your Menulog listing, to help you maximise your earnings through online orders. 

One of these is to encourage customers to create larger ‘baskets’ or orders at a higher value. This improves efficiency when managing orders and completing deliveries, so we’ve compiled a few tips and tricks to help you boost your average order value

1. Include meal deals on your menu– Meal deals are a great addition to any restaurant menu, as they support convenience for customers, leading to larger baskets resulting in greater value. We recommend that you select a competitive price point for your deals in an attempt to reel in customers – the more convenient interactions customers have with your restaurant, the more likely they are to order again and again!

2. Add a range of drinks to your listing – Drinks are a simple way to drive up basket size, particularly if you have a good selection suited to your cuisine type. You can also set up your menu to prompt a drink selection with a certain meal. For example, spicy food could be coupled with coconut water, or pizza paired with a large bottle of soft drink.

3. Set up your ‘extras’ – You can tailor your Menulog menu to allow customers to select extras for each menu item. This could be in the form of adding toppings to a pizza, or extra sauces for a meal.
