El Jannah, Sydney charcoal chicken and Lebanese institution, released two limited edition sauces this year for Valentine’s Day, leveraging this popular foodie occasion. Traditionally known to be the enemy of romance, El Jannah reinvigorated their popular ‘toum’ or ‘garlic sauce’ to create delicious new food experiences for all Australians to enjoy.

The limited edition range of ‘Toum’ was specifically designed for delivery on Valentine’s Day, crafted for either a romantic affair or a single celebration in mind. The two sauce variants were determined to be either extra garlicky for singles who could be carefree on this night or extra spicy for couples, adding a little extra flavour to their dinner date.

For the singles’ sauce, El Jannah’s famous toum was injected with thrice the garlicky goodness of the original, paired with a quarter chicken, chips and a drink. For couples, the classic toum was combined with chilli to add that extra kick to a whole charcoal chicken, large chips, pickles and tabouli or coleslaw – the perfect meal for a pair.

El Jannah’s ‘All TOUMyself’ and ‘Spice It Up’ sauces were available as individual items or in meal deals exclusively available to order on Menulog from Monday 11 February to Sunday 17 February 2019 in in Campbelltown, Blacktown, Punchbowl and Granville stores. Working together, Menulog was able to get this messaging out by securing media coverage and announcing the new creation to customers via social channels.

Menulog data showed that there was a 51 percent increase in orders on Valentine’s Day in 2018 and by working with a local institution like El Jannah, we were able to help create delicious new food experiences for both singles and couples alike.
