Help stop the spread of COVID-19 and ease restrictions sooner by downloading the Australian Government’s COVIDSafe App from the App Store or Google Play. 

The new COVIDSafe app is completely voluntary, but will help provide you and others, peace of mind. 

What does the COVIDSafe app do?

The app helps find people who have been in close contact with someone with COVID-19 and can help notify you quickly if you have been in contact with someone else who is at risk. 

How does the app work?

The COVIDSafe app recognises other devices with the COVIDSafe app installed and when active, will note down who you have been in close contact with. If you or someone you have been in contact with is diagnosed with COVID-19, the app will implement steps to help with contact tracing, notify others to get tested and provide advice on next steps. Health officials will not release any names. 

How does the app help me?

While we all do our best to adhere to social distancing guidelines and follow safety procedures to stay safe, the app provides confidence in going about your day to day life.
