An Update on Menulog’s Support of Restaurants Throughout the COVID-19 Pandemic
on March 18, 2020 in COVID-19

Menulog has been closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation and working with restaurants, industry and government to develop initiatives to support restaurants, customers and couriers at this time.

Menulog’s foremost priority has been to ensure the health and safety of our entire network, having implemented initiatives such as Contact-free Delivery, additional safety measures for restaurants and information hubs with the latest guidance from health authorities.

In tandem, Menulog has been working through initiatives to specifically support its network of 18,000 restaurants, in a rapidly evolving situation.

Working with our Partners and Industry
– We understand the severe impact the situation is having on our partners and the industry in general
– We know many of our partners have had to close their doors for dine-in, relying only on pick-up and delivery
– We have also seen a surge in demand for delivery services from small and national restaurants, caterers as well as grocery providers and other businesses
– Menulog is working hard to fulfill each and every request, to help these businesses generate cash flow and continue to operate

Additional Initiatives to Support Restaurants
We launched our collection commission decrease more than a month ago now and are proud to share we have enabled restaurants to keep almost half a million dollars in their businesses through this initiative.

While this has now come to a close, we will continue to support restaurant partners through continued initiatives such as:

1. $3 million investment in marketing for restaurants
We have launched a large-scale local marketing initiative to let customers know you are still open for pickup and delivery. We will continue to invest in more marketing to drive as much business for you as possible during this time.

2. Ongoing partnership with Restaurant & Catering
We continue to work very closely with R&CA and have invested to help them advocate for restaurants and the broader hospitality industry during this difficult time.

3. Free tamper-proof bag seals
We will continue to provide free tamper-proof seals to all restaurant partners via the Menulog Store, to help keep everyone safe.

4. The latest COVID-19 information
We will continue to update Partner Essentials so you have easy access to the most up-to-date information.

We are in ongoing discussions with restaurants, as well as industry and community organisations, and will continue to share updates on additional initiatives as soon as available.

Restaurants will continue to receive ongoing updates from Menulog, as well as reminders via email, SMS and online partner portals with tips on boosting hygiene and safety to help protect our community during this time.
